Lito Ballaran was born in San Pablo City, the “City of the Seven Lakes,” in Laguna. He is a full time painter, an art teacher, and is proficient in oils, acrylics and pastels.  His greatest passion though is for painting in watercolors.  Working with the medium since his college days at the Philippine Women’s University (PWU), his favorite subjects are those that show the fascinating life of people that he meets.  A traveler and an explorer, his sceneries reveal a very sensitive nature that value life and the environment.

For the past two decades, Lito has actively participated in many prestigious national and international art competitions, exhibitions and festivals earning distinction and honor for his family and country.  He works with organizations to help promote Art, Culture and Tourism.

As we look at Lito’s art, we see an impressive body of work in the unique Ballaran style which reflects the emotions and feelings of the artist as he goes through his life experiences.
